About Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS)

For decades, the manufacturers of PFAS chemicals contaminated public drinking water and covered up impacts to human health and the environment.

Now, it’s estimated that more than 97% of the U.S. population have PFAS “forever chemicals” in their bloodstream — and if it’s high enough in concentration, it has been linked to kidney and testicular cancers, ulcerative colitis, and possibly many other types of cancers and serious conditions.

We’ve put together resources to help you learn more about PFAS toxicity and the actions you can take against further harm.

What we’re doing

  • Pursuing legal action against the worst industrial polluters

  • Providing resources and assistance to communities and individuals harmed by PFAS contamination
  • Bringing awareness about the impacts of PFAS pollution to human health

We are on a mission to stop the toxic contamination of our drinking water systems through legal actions against the worst industry offenders and by getting justice for those who have suffered from unknowingly consuming highly contaminated water.

Hot Issue: Military Base Water Contamination

The drinking water systems on at least 80% of US military bases have ultra-high levels of PFAS contamination due to decades of frequent use of AFFF (or firefighting foam) to extinguish high-temperature petroleum fires.

Military veterans, their dependents and civilians who lived on or near a military base have a much higher likelihood to develop certain cancers and other serious health conditions.

Ways to take action

Millions of Americans are unknowingly consuming and bathing in contaminated water every day. Many are even being diagnosed with serious illnesses without knowing about their links to PFAS exposure through drinking water.

You don’t have to take action alone. Our team offers information and resources to help you understand your risk and exposure to PFAS and navigate through various actions that you can take to get help for you and your family.

Test your tap water for PFAS and get a PFAS water filter for your home.

If you’ve lived in an area with PFAS-contaminated water or your tap water tests positive for PFAS, get a PFAS blood test.

If you were ever diagnosed with cancer, ulcerative colitis, thyroid disease, or Parkinson’s Disease and lived in a PFAS-contaminated area, our team can provide you legal representation to pursue financial assistance for medical expenses, lost wages, and more.

Call Congress

The Biden-Harris administration enacted significant measures to combat PFAS pollution, recognizing this issue as a serious threat to the health of Americans. You can take this to the next level by calling your Congressional representative and demand action against PFAS pollution in your community.
